I started this firm because too many small business owners in New York are handed a stack of numbers once a year and told to figure it out. I wanted to build something different: bookkeeping that’s accurate, explained clearly, and delivered by someone who actually picks up the phone.
Before founding NY METRO Bookkeeping, I spent four years in public accounting, working closely with financial statements, reconciliations, and reporting for a range of clients. That experience is exactly what small business owners need on their side — someone who understands how the numbers connect, not just where to enter them.
NY METRO Bookkeeping is a bookkeeping and accounting practice, not a CPA firm. I don’t sign off on audited financials or file as your CPA of record — what I do is keep your books accurate, organized, and genuinely tax-ready, so whoever handles your taxes has everything they need from day one.
I work with a small number of retail and service-based businesses at a time, on purpose. That means your books get real attention every month — not a rushed pass at the end of the quarter.
You’ll always know what your numbers mean and where your business stands. No jargon, no twelve-page reports you never open — just clear answers when you need them.
If you're running a shop, studio, restaurant, salon, or service business in New York City and want books you can actually trust, we're likely a good fit.
Inventory, sales, and expenses tracked and reconciled so you know your real margins.
Invoicing, receivables, and recurring expenses organized so cash flow stays predictable.
As you add staff and vendors, your books scale with clean processes instead of catching up later.
